My video is taking a long time to upload

Before you start: Please make sure you have internet / wifi access. Open another website to confirm this. Please also make sure there’s enough memory/storage on the phone. If you have no space, we will not be able to compress the video. If you have internet access and space, then try the following:

  1. When the upload starts, please make sure you keep the app open until the upload is complete. If you close the app, the upload will stop;
  2. We recommend you upload one video at the time – otherwise, videos will take longer to upload / videos may get stuck in the queue;
  3. if your upload stops or the % does not increase, pull down on the My Responses screen to restart the upload;
  4. If 3 does not work, kill the app and reopen it – your Upload should restart. 5 – If 4 does not work, please log out of the app, log back in and then upload your video again. Repeat steps 1-3;
  5. If you’re still experiencing difficulties, please scroll down to the end of this page and use the Contact Us option.

My video is stuck between 0% and 10%

If your video is stuck between 0% and 10%, it means there is an issue trimming your video.

  1. Pls check that you have enough storage on your phone;
  2. If the video was taken from the gallery on your phone, please check what format the video is. We only support.mpeg4 and .mp4. If your video is not one of these formats, please record the video again in .mp4 or .mpeg4 and upload it again;
  3. If you cannot record your video in the required format, you will not be able to complete this task and you should contact your Recruiter.

My video is stuck between 11% and 60%

If your video is stuck between 11 and 60%, there is an issue compressing the video. To resolve this:

  1. Please, check that you have enough storage on your phone. This issue is often linked to a lack of space on your phone.

If you are low on space, please delete some files or apps to make enough space for us to compress your video. We will not be able to compress the video until you create some space for the compressed video file to be created.

If you’re still experiencing issues with your uploads please contact us and give us information on the project you’re involved with, the email address you used to sign up with, a device you use and a brief description of your issue and we’ll get back to you ASAP.

My video is stuck between 61 and 100%

If your video is stuck between 60 and 100%, it means that you have lost your internet connection. To fix this:

  1. Please, check that your network connection is strong and stable;
  2. If you are on a slow connection, move to an area with a better signal or with good wifi;
  3. Once you have a good connection/network, reopen the app, pull down on the My Responses screen and that should restart the upload;
  4. If doesn’t work, kill the app and reopen. The upload should restart. If you’re still experiencing difficulties, please scroll down to the end of this page and use the Contact Us option.

App freezes / crashes when uploading videos

If the app freezes or crashes, please first ensure that you have free space on your phone. Do this by going to Settings on your phone. If you do not have free space, please delete some files or unused apps to make space. If you have space on your phone, try the following:

  1. Please kill and restart the app again and try to upload your video again;
  2. If 1 does not work, log out of the app, log back in and try to upload your video again;
  3. If 2 does not work, log out of the app, delete it and reinstall it;
  4. If you’re still experiencing difficulties, please scroll down to the end of this page and use the Contact Us option.

I get an error message Upload incomplete when I finish my upload

If you get a message that the upload was incomplete, it may be because you closed the app before the upload was completed. To fix this:

  1. Reopen the app and pull down on the My Response screen to restart the upload.
  2. Make sure to keep the app open until the response is uploaded, which may take a few minutes.
  3.  If 2 does not work, try to kill the app then reopen the app and it should start to upload again.
  4. if 3 does not work, log out of the app, log back in and try to upload your photo again.

If you’re still experiencing difficulties, please use the Contact Us option.

File is Absent

This issue sometimes appears on certain handsets and we believe it is something to do with the screen resolution.

We do have work however and would appreciate it if you can try the following?

For screen recording tasks, please can you go to the Play Store, search for the "AZ Screen Recorder" app and download it.

Use the AZ Screen Recorder app to do your screen recording tasks.

Once you have saved the recordings using AZ Screen Recorder, go to the Indeemo app and do the following:

  1. Tap on the + button and choose the Video option.
  2. Browse your gallery/camera roll to find the screen recording from the AZ screen recorder app.
  3. Upload that to Indeemo as normal.

This temporary solution will help you to complete any remaining screen recording tasks.

Timeout

This issue typically happens when an internet connection drops or is slow for a period of time.

To resolve the issue, can you please try the following?

  1. Make sure you are connected to a stable WiFi connection;
  2. Kill the Indeemo app and reopen it. This will force a refresh and the video should start to upload again.

Please keep the Indeemo app open until the video is 100% uploaded.

  3. Please restart your phone and try to record another video.
